What is a Best Offer listing?
Adding the Best Offer option to your eBay listings allows buyers to negotiate the price with you. Once a buyer makes an offer, you can choose to accept or decline it. You can also configure rules to auto-accept or auto-decline offers, or choose to make a counteroffer.
Best Offer feature compatibility with Webinterpret
Webinterpret supports Best Offer listings. We automatically copy your Best Offer preferences from your original domestic listing to your localised international Webinterpret listings.
Automatic synchronization: If Best Offer is enabled for your original listing, it will be enabled for your international Webinterpret listings.
Auto-accept and auto-decline prices: These thresholds are carried over and converted the same way as your item’s price. We apply live currency conversion and your specific pricing rules, ensuring your minimum accepted margins remain consistent across all your international markets.
Real-time updates: If you turn Best Offer on or off, or change your auto-accept/decline prices on the original listing, Webinterpret will detect the change and update your international copies accordingly.
Why Best Offer might be turned off on Webinterpret listings
In some rare cases, we may list your item internationally without the Best Offer option, even if it is enabled on your domestic listing. This is done to ensure your listing remains live and visible to buyers, rather than failing to list at all.
This usually happens for one of the following reasons:
- Category restrictions: The target eBay category on a specific international site does not allow Best Offer listings. In this case, we will turn the feature off and list the item at the standard "Buy It Now" price.
- eBay system rejections: If eBay rejects a listing update specifically because of Best Offer settings, we will remove the offer options from the affected localised listing and retry the submission to keep your listing active.
- Manual opt-out: We can disable Best Offer for your international listings on a request basis. If you prefer not to receive international Best Offers, you can request this account-level action by contacting our Support Team.
