The returns process

Log in to your Returns Dashboard to use the following features.

1. The initial return request and shipping label generation

When your buyer initiates a seller-paid return request, the request is automatically accepted and will appear under the Open tab in your Returns Dashboard. Webinterpret will send a shipping label to your buyer in their eBay account (with customs documentation, if applicable). The entire process is automated, so you don’t need to issue a return label yourself.

2. Tracking your returns

Keep track of all your returns in your Returns Dashboard.

Additional indicators to note:

  • Under Open > TYPE, the blue WI icon indicates an automatically handled return by Webinterpret Returns.
  • If the return is set against a blue background, the label has been generated for the buyer, and the order is ready to be shipped back.
  • If the return is set against a white background, the label has yet to be generated and shipped back.

3. Receive and inspect your returns

Wait for the order's return, inspect its condition and refund your buyer accordingly.

Good to know

  • You can keep track of your return's shipping status directly in eBay.
  • For international returns, label and customs documentation are provided for your buyer in their local language.
  • If you need to file a claim for an insufficient return (after inspecting the returned order), this must be done directly in eBay.
