eIS compatibility for international Webinterpret listings

Some shipping programs, like eBay International Shipping (eIS), cannot be used to fulfill orders from your international Webinterpret listings. To protect your international sales and keep your new Webinterpret listings active, we highly recommend adding direct international shipping alongside eIS to your domestic listings.

If you prefer not to update your shipping policies directly on eBay, the Backup International Shipping setting allows you to select options that preserve your listings and continue fulfilling international orders as before.

Accessing the Backup International Shipping setting

To manage how your listings respond when direct international shipping is not available, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Webinterpret Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Localisation > Settings > Shipping settings > Backup International Shipping
  3. Select your preferred option under the "Keep listings alive" or "Opt out" categories
  4. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

Available Backup International Shipping options

Select one of the following options if a shipping program like eIS is enabled on any of your original domestic listings and there is no direct international shipping option in addition to eIS:

Keep listings alive

  • Always retain shipping on my Webinterpret listings: Select this option to always keep your Webinterpret listings active when international shipping information is no longer available. Webinterpret will apply your most recently saved direct international shipping settings to your international listings.
  • Retain shipping on my Webinterpret listings only when eIS is detected: Select this option to keep your Webinterpret listings active only when original listings use eIS, or another shipping program, exclusively. Webinterpret will apply your most recently saved direct international shipping settings to your international listings.
    • Note: This option is selected by default.
