Determining your EU Responsible Person service eligibility
After Webinterpret Compliance processes your product inventory for the first time, our technology will automatically assess whether we can be assigned as your EU Responsible Person (where needed).
If your inventory meets our initial criteria, you can assign us as your EU Responsible Person directly from your Compliance Dashboard. Please allow up to 15 days for product qualification and issuing the EU Representative certificate.
If your inventory does not meet our initial criteria, we will evaluate which products may be eligible when additional documentation is added. If this is the case, you will receive an email requesting documentation for a specific set of items. This additional documentation helps us understand your product range and confirm your compliance eligibility through a representative sample of your products.
Why Webinterpret may request additional documentation
Assigning Webinterpret as your EU Responsible Person means that we will act as the official representative for your product(s) in the European Union (particularly in regulatory compliance matters). This role obligates us to respond to any inquiries from EU authorities regarding your products. To fulfill this responsibility effectively, we may require more supporting documentation from you, especially for specific product categories.
For more information about what you need to provide to be GPSR-compliant, see European General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR): What you need to know for selling into the EU.
Examples of additional documentation
The additional documentation requested may include compliance-related certifications, test reports, product specifications, and other relevant materials demonstrating adherence to EU regulations.
Examples of such documentation can be found on the European Commission’s website at Technical documentation and EU declaration of conformity.
How to submit your additional documentation
You can respond to our email to send us the requested documentation or upload it directly to your Compliance Dashboard by clicking Upload beside the product.
