Orphaned listings - definition
Orphaned listings are listings created on international sites but not by our system.
They usually happen for two main reasons:
- They were created by you
- They were relisted from our translated listings which ended (manually or by additional software).
- They were created by a third party tool you are using.
We synchronize everything according to the domestic listing from the currently set domestic site, so orphaned listings cannot be managed by us. They will be disconnected from our system and cannot be updated.
Orphaned listings have a listing source market different from your domestic one. I.e if you are listing from UK, an orphaned listing will show for example AU or US or any other, as the source site.
How to prevent orphaned listings?
The most important thing is to avoid relisting translated items by yourself. You should only relist the domestic ones.
If you are using a third-party tool, you should set it up, so that it only relists your domestic listings.
How to remove orphaned listings?
If you would like to have orphaned listings removed you can either do it yourself from the level of your eBay account, ask eBay support for assistance or contact Webinterpret customer support as we can also assist in removing orphaned listings.
