Learn how to request and publish optimization recommendations for your domestic listings with the Item Optimization feature.

How to request an optimization recommendation

To get started, log in to your Webinterpret Dashboard and visit AI Enhancements > Item Optimization.

Optimization recommendations can be requested at the item level or through a bulk selection of items.

There are two ways to request an optimization recommendation for an individual item:

  • Option 1: Click the Request Recommendation button next to the item that you want to request a recommendation for (underneath the listing component you wish to optimize).
  • Option 2: Click Edit next to the item that you want to request a recommendation for. On the next screen, click the Request recommendation button underneath the listing component you wish to optimize.

To request an optimization recommendation for a bulk selection of items:

  • Select the items you want to request recommendations for by using the checkbox(es) on the left of each item title. Click Actions and select the listing component(s) you wish to optimize for the selected items.

Once a recommendation has been requested, a Pending status will be displayed next to the item (underneath the corresponding listing component). Recommendations typically take 3 hours. Average time durations will continue to improve over time.

Tip: Use the filters at the top of your Dashboard to view items based on Recommendation type and/or Status.

How to review and publish an optimization recommendation

Once our recommendation is ready and available for review, a Ready to review status will be displayed next to the item (underneath the corresponding listing component).

To review, edit and publish an optimization recommendation for an individual item:
1. Click Edit next to the item.

2. Review Webinterpret’s optimization recommendation(s). If you wish to edit a recommendation, click the Edit button (next to the recommendation).

Note: Below the Edit button, you also have options to:

  • Show information about the recommendation (i.e. the logic behind the recommendation),
  • Copy the recommendation (to your clipboard),
  • Reject the recommendation (and submit your feedback in order to help Webinterpret improve this service).

3. Select the Use all WI Recommendations checkbox at the top of the screen to approve all of the requested recommendations for the item, or select the Use this WI Recommendations checkbox underneath a listing component to approve that specific recommendation.

4. Click Apply to publish the optimization recommendation(s) to your listing(s).

Note: Editing a recommendation can only be done on the individual item-level.

To publish optimization recommendations for a bulk selection of items:

1. Select the items you want to publish optimization recommendations for by using the checkbox(es) on the left of each item title.

2. Click Apply to publish the optimization recommendation(s) to your listing(s) that have a Ready to review status.

Once a recommendation has been published, an Optimized status will be displayed next to the item (underneath the corresponding listing component). Recommendations are published immediately after they are accepted.

Reminder: If you subscribe to an international selling plan, your listing optimizations will be copied from your domestic listings to your international (Webinterpret) listings.

Status definitions

Each listing component will have one of the following statuses, depending on its stage in the optimization journey.

You can use the filters at the top of your Dashboard to view items based on Status.

  • Pending: Indicates a listing component that has received a recommendation request and is currently generating a recommendation.
  • Ready to review: Indicates a listing component that has a generated optimization recommendation ready to review.
  • Optimized: Indicates a listing component with an accepted and applied optimization recommendation.
  • Rejected: Indicates a listing component that has had its recommendation rejected by the user (using the Reject recommendation button).
  • Processing failed: Indicates a listing component that encountered a temporary error when generating an optimization recommendation. Webinterpret will attempt to retry the recommendation request.
  • Invalid: Indicates a listing component with an optimization recommendation that does not adhere to marketplace requirements or best practices. The most common reason for this status is that the text is too long. In this case, users can edit the recommendation and reapply it after it becomes compliant.
