Promoted Listings explained

This article explains Webinterpret's Promoted Listings program for eBay sellers, and the key differences between Promoted Listings Standard and Promoted Listings Advanced. Promoted Listings are available for your international (Webinterpret) and domestic listings.

Topics in this article:

What is Promoted Listings Standard?

As eBay states, ''Promoted Listings help your items stand out among billions of listings on eBay and be seen by millions of active buyers when they’re browsing and searching for what you are selling, helping to increase the likelihood of a sale. The best part? You only pay when your item sells.''

Promoted Listings Standard costs as much as you’re willing to pay. The ad fee is a percentage of the transaction value (excluding shipping) that sellers agree to pay for the advertising.

eBay has a great FAQ introduction page that provides essential background on the feature.

What is Promoted Listings Advanced?

As eBay states: “Promoted Listings Advanced campaigns give you the high visibility you want and the control you need. Drive traffic to your listings with preferred access to the top slots of search results using keyword and budget controls. Advanced campaigns are based on a cost-per-click model, which means that you pay per click on your ads.”
