eBay Promoted Listings - How to Manage your Ad Rate

This article will guide you through how to manage and control your eBay Promoted Listings Ad Rate via your Seller User Interface (SUI).

If you are a current subscriber to our Promoted Listings feature, you can now manage your Ad Rate percentage directly from within your Seller User Interface (trial Sellers will need to upgrade to the full feature to have access to the Ad Rate Manager, to check eligibility, log into your SUI).

Any Ad Rate is currently based on the default recommended percentage (as supported by eBay), which is between 1% and 3.5% per campaign.

With your new Ad Rate Manager, you can now select the percentage of your choice, depending on your desired budget and marketplace location. This is important as now you can choose to focus and increase Ad Rate on specific marketplaces, whilst (for example) utilizing the recommended Ad Rate on other marketplaces.

To make changes to your desired Ad Rate, login in to your Seller User Interface, click on Marketing and you will see your latest available reports.

Displayed on the right hand side (as shown below) will be ‘’Ad Rate’’ and here will show your current default eBay recommended percentage.

To change the Ad Rate Percentage, simply click on the pencil icon and confirm your chosen selection.

To summarize, the options available depending on preference and campaign spend, are as follows:

1: Utilize the current default Ad Rate as recommended by Webinterpret which will not exceed 3.5%

2: Select a % between 2 ranges and all items within the campaign will be promoted dependent on Webinterpret recommendations.

3: Select eBay recommended Ad Rates directly.

4: Select a flat rate %, all items will then be promoted with this standard selected Ad Rate.

If you wish to remain on the default eBay recommended Ad Rate, no updates or changes to the Ad Rate is necessary.

If you wish to check your Marketing statistics and reporting, please see this guide.

For Sellers on the Trial version of the eBay Promoted Listings feature, and who wish to upgrade to the full program, please confirm the upgrade via your Seller User Interface (SUI).
