Why are there shipping exclusions on international listings?

WebInterpret automatically adds shipping exclusions to your listings.

We add exclusions on a per country basis. For example, an Italian auction has exclusions to the rest of the countries we list to – DE, ES, FR, US, AU – plus to the original UK listing.

Why is this important?

If there were no exclusions, domestic buyers would be able to see all localized versions of each item.

Sellers would also run the risk of breaching eBay's Duplicate Policy (your compliance policy rating would be lowered and listings would be removed).
